"It is my honor to serve as your Placer County Clerk-Recorder-Registrar of Voters. I was unanimously appointed to this position two years ago by the Placer County Board of Supervisors because of my 24 years of experience and proven leadership in the office. I am certified by the California Association of Clerks and Elections Officials as a Professional Elections Administrator.
During my service, our office has become a leader in elections and recording management. I brought electronic document recording to the county, which increases office efficiency and saves precious taxpayer dollars. The Placer County High School Voter Outreach Program has received state and national recognition. The Placer County Senior Citizen Voter Outreach Program has helped thousands of seniors to correctly re-register. Our Placer County Candidate Workshops teach hundreds how to run for office.
These initiatives create an engaged, informed electorate who vote on Election Day – at the November 2016 Presidential General Election, Placer County had an astounding 84.2% turnout!
But there is still more to do, including candidate filing automation and a fully digitized recorded document index.
My community service includes: Salvation Army of Auburn, Placer County Fair Association, Tommy Apostolos Fund, Placer County Chapter of the Sacramento State Alumni Association, KidsFirst, Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center, and others.
I love serving the residents of Placer County. I am an Eagle Scout and attended local schools. I've raised my two children in a community that I've called home for the last 40 years.
I respectfully ask for your vote."
